Stockland Village Hall - Friday 22nd February

“Sun-shiny songs thriving on dark themes behind irresistible rhythms”

‘TRACK DOGS’ Made up of two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American, the band came together in 2011 to create their unique brand of acoustic music - a veritable 4 x 4 of voices and instruments identified by the fusion of styles which include Folk, Latino, Americana and Bluegrass. The four international “madrileños” ( Garrett Wall, Dave Mooney, Howard Brown & Robbie K. Jones) are currently touring in support of their fourth album “Kansas City Out Groove”.

In 2017 they were invited to Kansas City to showcase at Folk Alliance International, the largest gathering of folk and acoustic musicians in the world, and from this musical
experience comes the title to their new work. It was here also that they met The Barefoot Movement, from Nashville, who have collaborated with them on the track “Gonna Get My Way”. ‘Kansas City Out Groove’ features the band's striking line-up of 4-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, ukulele and bass alongside cajón and trumpet with a bit of banjo and mandolin thrown in for good measure.

2019 will see return performances at Costa del Folk in Ibiza ( with Show of Hands and Seth Lakeman ), Rochester Sweeps Festival in Kent ( for the fourth year running ), Folk on the Pier in Cromer and the prestigious Shrewsbury Folk Festival. They are also thrilled to make their debut at Huddersfield's own Grand Northern Ukulele Festival (GNUF).For now though they are delighted to be playing an intimate gig at Stockland Village Hall ( EX14 9EF ) on Friday 22nd Feb.
