The stone cottage has character accents such as exposed beams, slate floors and a cosy wood-burning stove, but provides modern and comfortable accommodation. It is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the charming village of Stockland, which is surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside but is only 20 minutes from the coast and 30 minutes to the cathedral city of Exeter or the popular market town of Bridport. The large private garden is delightful with a separate outdoor seating area for 6. The cottage has internet access and Wi-fi is available. There is off-road parking at the cottage for up to 3 cars.

Golden Square Cottage, Stockland Hill

Golden Square Cottage has recently been converted from an old dairy. The cottage was designed to make the most of the amazing views from our hill top position. The view from the bedrooms and the large private deck are really special.

Finished to a high standard, with every detail carefully thought out. We've tried to be as environmentally friendly as possible, installing solar panels to provide hot water, using responsibly sourced wood for the windows and doors made by a local craftsman, and using eco friendly paints and finishings wherever possible.

We run a smallholding, so you are welcome to spend some time with us helping to feed the animals and collect the eggs. We can show you where to go to watch the badgers at the end of our woods, and give you books to read all about the amazing wildlife on our doorstep.

Barn Park Farm - Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast

Pamela and Derek Boyland welcome you to their working beef farm set in 150 acres on Stockland Hill where Derek’s family have farmed for generations. Close to the Village of Stockland and with wonderful views over the Blackdown Hills, the farm is in an area of outstanding natural beauty in rural Devon, and farm walks and badger watching are available. Barn Park Farm is 5 miles from the busy market town of Honiton and 1 1/4 miles from the A30. Pleasant accommodation is provided in this charming farmhouse dating back to the 1800′s. It combines olde worlde character, beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace with a happy atmosphere – almost as though the contentment of many generations envelop it! Relaxing in front of the woodburning stove in the sitting room seems a world away from the stress of modern day living.

We offer double rooms, family room and twin bedded rooms, with en-suite, or private bathroom. Each room has been tastefully furnished to a high standard with vanity units, tea and coffee making facilities, and television. All rooms are centrally heated. Traditional full English breakfasts can be enjoyed in the dining room with locally produced sausages. You can even select your eggs from our own free range hens! Children and well behaved pets are welcome. Ample free off-road car parking is available.

Ferndale Cottage in Stockland village

A newly-renovated beamed cottage in which the only thing permitted to smoke is the log burner. It fires the central heating and logs are provided.

Entrance 'porch' opening into lounge with comfy seating for 4 and dining table. TV/ DVD player/ radio/CD player. Stairs leading to bedrooms and bathroom. Steps lead down from lounge to a kitchen equipped with electric cooker/ microwave/ fridge freezer/radiator. Door leads out to south facing deck-area (with table and chairs) with steps that lead down to courtyard which leads over our little bridge to main garden (with more tables and chairs).Bedrooms: Two double bed rooms with built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside tables and radiators. Bathroom: New bathroom suite with shower over bath and heated towel rail.

£255 to £550 per week depending on season, please phone for details.
Short breaks may be available out of school holidays. Pets by prior arrangement. Towels are provided and the beds will be made up ready for you.
This property is available from 3 pm on the day of arrival. Check out is 11am or otherwise by prior arrangement. Changeover day is Friday. Parking is on street parking.

A stone built terraced cottage with south facing patio.The owners of Rose Cottage, Barbara and Frank Durrant, live next door in a similar property. We have been in the village for all of our lives and so feel that we are able to add to the enjoyment of your holiday by providing personal recommendations for all the things to see and do in this most beautiful part of the country.

Idyllic Quantock - B&B near Honiton - Short stay accommodation available in the Blackdown Hills.

Our home is set in a tranquil green oasis in the countryside just a mile from Stockland village. We welcome our guests in a separate part of the house, with its own access and bathroom. You are free to enjoy the garden for a relaxing time. Do not hesitate to contact us for an extra bedroom for children. There is easy access from the A30/A303 ( 1.5 miles ) and from the A35 ( 6 miles). Honiton is just 6 miles to the West. We can offer short notice and short stay accommodation subject to availability. Minimum stay 1 night. Free off road parking at the property accessed along a bumpy farm track ( our mini copes fine).
