Hello Brenda,
I just noticed your 2004 posting, asking for information about Elizabeth Strawbridge and Stephen Lane, innkeepers at the Royal Oaks Inn, Stockland.
I am a descendant of the Stockland Strawbridge family.
My 2nd great grandparents were John Strawbridge b 1813 in Stockland, and Elizabeth Goddard who were married in Stockland in 1838. They arrived in Canada in June 1842.
Perhaps we have a connection???
