Hi Matthew,
No, my Edwin's parents were John and Hannah Hooper (nee Stroud) married Woolavington, Somerset, 1826. Sorry.

Hi Sue,
I donât know wether this is coincident but I have an Edwin Hooper baptised March 19th 1826 in Plymouth St Charles, Devon, England. The parents are Robert Hooper and Betsy Sully Stumbles. Edwinâs siblings were Betsy Hooper, Abraham Stumbles Hooper, Alfred Hooper, Frederick Robert Hooper, Josiah Hooper, Emma Hooper, William Henry Hooper, Jane Aves Hooper and Robert Hooper.
I cannot make up my mind now which one. The age you have fits perfectly into when Edwin came out to Australia. I think 1842. Puts him at 16 approx.
Cheers,
Matt

A very long shot, but I have a load of Hooper's (including an Edwin born 1826) that disappeared from Somerset, UK probably in the 1840s/50s.
Edwin was baptised in 1826 in Sutton Mallet, Somerset, UK and last appears on the census at Shapwick Somerset, UK in 1841 (aged 15-19). His brothers/sisters that disappeared around this time were: Henry (born 1828), Delilah (born 1832), Vincent (born 1832-6), Judith (born 1838) and Charles (born c 1843).
If you think any are yours please let me know.

If this is Edwin Hooper as in had a son Daniel George died in 1850 Hooper aged 83 then he is my GG father. Tell me and I will get my family info together and send. I have just started. I think Daniel married a Letitia. I too would like to share info.
