Hello I have recently traced my mother's family tree and am wondering if the farm 'Huntshays', Stockland still exists? My great great grandfather William Amor (born abt 1787 in Stockland)) and grandmother Charlotte Amor (born abt 1788 in Chard, Sommerset)used to live there. I now live in Autralia but will be coming over for a family visit and will try and get to Stockland. Many thanks for this website. Regards Elaine

I grew up near Huntshayes Farm. In those days it was farmed by John Salter, who left there many years ago. My father who lives on a nearby farm tells me that Huntshayes was recently sold for over £1.000.000. Only two fields remain, the rest haveing been sold off.

Hi - Huntshays farm is also mentioned in a letter I was given by my mother - from possible relatives in Australia - - stating that Robert and Mary Tucker of of Huntshays Farm are probable ancestors of mine - this would be about 1817. Do you have any more info on Huntshays?
