Hello Peter,
The names that are connected to your family do not ring any bells with me.
Hello All,
Samuel Follett, baptised, 11 Nov 1781, son of John Follett and Ann his wife married Mary HANCOCK 2 Feb 1809 in Chard.
His daughter Sarah and her younger siblings were baptised in Yarcombe, although the eldest child, Mary, was baptised in Stockland.
He died and was buried in Yarcombe in 1821.
Still looking for Stockland marriages to push the family further back in time, and perhaps find John Follett's wife's maiden name.
still looking!
Helenor

Hi Helenor,
All of my early ancestors came from around this area - mainly Whitchurch Canonicorum, Netherbury, Symondsbury
Dorset. I have several hundred FOLLETTs in my Family Tree, dating back to my Gt, gt, gt, gt, gt, gt, Grandparents, Thomas Follett 1688-1755 & Cicely Miller 1692-1745.
Almost all of them were farmers. Other Family names linked to these are: SPRAKE, HODDER, PURCHASE, MANN, TAYLOR, CROCKER, HUSSEY. All from Dorset.
If any of this is of interest to you, do give me a call.
Yours: Peter Jon Sprake-Follett
