Peter could you please contact me ref Elizabeth Bond , I think you are correct about Elizabeths parents being Malachi and Ann , I see the Turners were Masons, and did you realise that Elizabeths brother Malachi lived with them in 1861, he to was a mason .

How interesting a carving in your mantle beem with Malachi , well he was a stone mason so maybe he built the fireplace himself .
Malachi lived in a place called Horseplot and then moved on to a place called Millhayes we think this is in Stockland , not sure if these places are still there .
Sue is more related to this Malachi than I am , this Malachi's father was called Malachi and was my gggGrandfather John Bonds brother .
We visited Membury on New Years Day we do not live very far away .

I have details on Elizabeth Bond. Born/christened 16/9/1823 and died 16/12/1898 in Stockland. She married George Turner (23/11/1824) also from Stockland in 1848. Living at Shore 1851 and Shore Head 1881. I have them listed as having 10 children, although I have several ? marks. Elizabeth's parents are given as Malachi & Ann. Is this the same Malachi described by Ann, Margaret & Sue?

My Bond family I have back to John Bond 1585 born in Hardstock Dorset. Then it carries on to your Malachy (our spelling) His Father William Bond born 1754 Stockland Devon married Elizabeth Denselow born 1749 Honiton Devon. They had 7 children John 1780, Matthew 1783, Joan 1786, Mary 1788, William 1790, Elizabeth 1792 and Malachy 1795.

I have a Malachi Bond in my husbands tree. His daughter Ann (born c 1822) married a James Hammett of Seaton in 1847, my husnamds 2nd great grand father.
Is there any connection?

I have just noticed your message on the notice board , and we do have a little info about Malachi ,A Malachi was christened 1st Feb 1795 in Stockland , and married a Ann Richards from Membury on the 28th March 1820 , we think they had a child called Caroline 1835/36 , then a Malachi a son 1849/50 and we think he may have married a Elizabeth although we have not confirmed this , Malachi 1795 parents were William Bond and Elizabeth Denslow .
We have some other info but this will hopefully help a little .
We do have Malachi spelt with a y and not a I .
