I am interested in the ancestors of Joel Northam (born 1738) and Hannah Davy, married 20 Sep 1763 in Stockland. I am descended via their daughter Mary Northam, who married Jacob Goff (aka Newbery) on 30 Mar 1798 in Stockland. Also interested in Goff/Newbery ancestors.

I am investigating the Newbery family of Stockland and why they had the Goff alias (or the other way around). My wife is descended from James Goff, Jacob's brother. My web site (www.robinsonshome.co.uk/Total2/p21.htm) details what I have found so far.
