Dear maggie,saw your 2004 message.I am a Letten of Offwell descendent, though we only realized recently as the name was mistranscribed at my 2xgtgrandfathers wedding in Northleigh on June 19th 1834. He was put as Litting and the name stuck. She was Jane Macer but recorded as Masser, to make things even more difficult. Believe he was the John born to Samuel and Susannah, baptised July 1809 with siblings Abraham and Emanuel, but only have the L.D.S transcribed records 1605 to 1815 to go by till I can get to Devon. Link with ANY Letten would be very welcome. John a thatcher, his elder son Henry my gt grandfather. Bast wishes, Jen
