Stockland Genealogical Message Board: Post #361, 2007-02-13

I have just found a deed from 1792 involving the sale of property in Stockland viz "Two messuages called Ridge and several closes of land called Path Morr, Leacroft, Little Plot, Holly Close, Slowcroft, The Coppice, all in Stockland, Dorset." One of the parties to the sale was my ancestor Richard HARPER of Poundon, Bucks. I have no idea what he was doing with property in Stockland. Does anyone local recognise any of these properties?
