Stockland Genealogical Message Board: Post #394, 2007-08-15

Its taken me 3 years to get this far, today is a happy day for me!! I have William Brooks born 1825 in Stockland. He had a brother John, who may have been his twin. His father was also named William, a tanner; and his mother was Rebecca. The parents were born in Exeter but appear to have lived in Stockland for a time. William jr and John had a sister Emma, possibly born in Stockland in 1833. Does this ring a bell with anyone, and why did William & Rebecca move from Exeter to Stockland?
