He married aMelia Norris in 1836 in Kilmington and subsequently married Elizabeth Bromfield in 1868 in Exeter. I know that by 1851 he was living in Exeter. Henry, the first child of John and Amelia was also born in Stockland. I understand that there is also a link to the Newbery family but apart from hearing that there were lots of children (13?), I have no idea what the link is.
