All, I am related to a John Collins born around 1823 in Stockland, and married Esther Orchard in 1850. Do you know if he is one of Thomas and Elizabeth's sons?
Looking back in records I found a John Collins from Stockland who married on 25 Mar 1822...born in Stockland but lived in Membury...could be the father or uncle. I also found a Robert Collins born in Stockland (lived in Membury) but the record was from 1756 and he was an adult, so most probably a grandparent or ggrandparent.
I would appreciate any information that you have!

Jacob Beer who was from Stockland married Catherine Collins 1828 (my 3 x great grandparents). I wonder if anyone has Catherine's year of birth please, and her parents. I beleive she was born close to 1800, possibly Membury. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I have a Sanuel Collins in my tree too from Stockland.
I have his marriage certificate, and he states his parents as Thomas Collins and Elizabeth Porter. When he married in 1867 he claimed to be a widower since 1860

I have a Samuel Collins (parents Thomas Collins & Elizabeth Potter. I not related to Samuel but to another of Thomas and Elizabth's sons James. They wre married on Sep 21 1813 in Stockland. I have nothing on their parents.
I've also been contacted through Genesreunited website for information about Samuel Collins married to Mary Jane Pearn. The contact was Keith Hazzard. I don't have his e-mail but he is in NSW, Australia. I've sent Keith a message suggesting that he look at this website if he hasn't already contacted you.
