Stockland Village Hall Committee

Stockland Youth Club is open

Stockland Youth Club is now open and meets on a Friday evening fortnightly between 18:30 and 20:00. Open to ages 7 – 13 years the club aims to provide a safe and accessible place for young people to socialise in an informal setting and where they can meet their peers and have fun. The club will also provide them with a sense of being part of the community in which they live.

The dates for the club meetings are shown on the Calendar page. On occasions the usual cycle of fortnightly meetings will change due to other pre-booked events at the hall. The next meeting will be held on Friday 29th March 2019.

The cost is £1 per meeting and there is a tuck shop so some small change will also be needed. All monies raised will be reinvested back into the youth club.

If you wish to register your child the attached consent form should be completed and either sent to the club leader Mel Andrews by email at or bring a signed copy along with you on the first night.

If you are interested in helping at the club please contact Mel Andrews or come along on a Friday evening and talk to any of the adult volunteers.

Our Child Welfare and Protection Policy outlines the expected standards of behaviour and how we provide a safe environment for everyone, please familiarise yourself with this document.

Christmas & New Year at the Victory Hall

The Christmas season has seen a number of community events at the Victory Hall commencing with the Christmas Market on Saturday 24th November followed by fish and chips in the evening. Both events were well attended and the market provided an opportunity to see Father Christmas!
The Christmas lunch on Sunday 9th December was a sumptuous feast provided by Emma Parris and Kim Harvey they were ably supported by a team of assistants who worked tirelessly in the kitchen and served at the tables.
New Year commenced with Brian Drew’s traditional walk that started at the Victory Hall in the glorious sunshine and took a circular route via Shore Bottom finishing back at the hall where Loops Curnoe and Annie Williams and their team provided a welcome lunch.
A very big THANK YOU to everyone who helped organise and deliver these events and to everyone who supported the events on the day.
